Urging Canada to Step Up Actions Supporting Hong Kong
敦促加拿大採取行動支持香港

TADC has published briefing notes concerning the dire situation in Hong Kong. We ask you to send an email message to local MP with the document attached. In the email, write your own words to urge your MP to speak up in the House of Commons for Canada and vote for immediate actions addressing the crisis in Hong Kong the same way as other countries like US, UK and EU have done.

由多倫多民運會、温哥華支聯會及卡加利民促會共同主辦的三地連線活動，當晚全程錄影可於本會所有社交媒體重温。而天安門母親、Alex Neve、王丹和香港手足的片段已經加上中英文字幕並在YouTube獨立發佈，縺結如下。
For the online event jointly hosted by TADC, VSSDM and CMDC, recording of the entire event is available at all TADC social media channels. Video clips for Tiananmen Mothers, Alex Neve, Wang Dan and Hong Kong protesters have been separately released with English and Chinese subtitles on YouTube. 六四31 年，不單是紀念，而是一種堅持、更是再一次的奮戰。

這是一塲從未完結的民主運動。1989的北京，沒有因坦克推進天安門就戛然而止。2019年的香港，縱然鎮壓已伸向彌敦道，但鐵蹄只會碾壓出更堅韌的抗争。

Liu Xiaobo Empty Chair Memorial 劉曉波空座椅紀念碑

Under the blue sunny sky, 100 people attended the unveiling ceremony of Liu Xiaobo Empty Chair Memorial. The memorial is located outside the Ottawa headquarter of Amnesty International Canada. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony were Alex Neve, Secretary General of Amnesty International Canada, Richard Stursberg, Chair of PEN Canada and Winnie Ng, Chair of Toronto Association of Democracy in China. These three organizations announced the project to erect the memorial in May 2018 and made it a reality on August 13, 2019.
大約有100人在晴朗的藍天下出席劉曉波空座椅紀念碑揭幕禮，紀念碑位於加拿大國際特赦渥太華總部前園。加拿大國際特赦組織秘書長Alex Neve、加拿大筆會會長Richard Stursberg和多倫多支持中國民運會會長吳溫温在揭幕禮上表示，這三個組織於2018年5月宣布建立紀念碑，於今天8月13日成為現實。
