明知要為堅持紀念「六四」付出代價,明知面對強權沒有勝利的希望,但她為了心中的民主理念,她選擇決不放棄,即使囚禁在監獄中,她也用各種方式抗爭。她,紀錄片的主角,就是38歲的香港支聯會前副主席鄒幸彤。自2019年反送中運動以來,在北京當局和港府的殘酷鎮壓下,現仍在獄中服刑的鄒幸彤,已經成為數百萬堅韌不拔香港人的代表性人物。國際特赦亦發起釋放鄒幸彤的呼籲。

This powerful documentary features Chow Hang-tung, a fearless human rights lawyer and an outspoken organizer of the annual June 4 candlelight vigil in Hong Kong. She is currently in jail and charged with inciting subversion under the National Security Law, facing potentially a 10-year imprisonment. Her case has been taken up by Amnesty InternationalShe’s In Jail highlights the collapse of the rule of law and the criminalization of political dissent through the poignant journey of this fierce and brilliant pro-democracy activist whose only ‘crime’ has been to speak the truth.
