人權和民主團體聯盟反對虛假敘述：急切呼籲落實外國代理人登記機制

Jenny Kwan, MP (Vancouver East) joined a coalition of human rights and pro-democracy organizations from Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto in a media conference to announce the launch of a House of Commons petition campaign, urging the Parliament to move expeditiously with the passage of the Foreign Influence and Transparency Registry (FITR) in the coming Fall Session of the House.
溫哥華東選區國會議員關慧貞聯同來自溫哥華、卡加利和多倫多的人權和民主組織聯盟，在記者會上宣布發起國會聯署行動，敦促加拿大政府盡快推行外國代理人登記冊和相關立法工作。

Send Letter to Minister of Public Safety 向公共安全部長發信

TADC invite you to sign a letter addressed to Hon Mendicino, Minister of Public Safety, urging him to move expeditiously in setting up a comprehensive system of foreign influence transparency registry (aka foreign agent registry).
民運會呼籲大家簽署信件，敦促公共安全部長馬守諾盡快成立外國代理人登記冊，以增加外國干預的透明度。

We are asking your urgent support to send this letter out immediately, so as to counter the opposite camp falsefully accusing registry legislation equate to discrimination and exclusion.
本會向大家告急，請立刻寄出信件，以抗衡對家的失實言論，指控登記法為歧視及排斥。

Dong Guangping must be released from unjust and unlawful imprisonment in China

Family and supporters of Chinese human rights defender Dong Guangping have received credible information that confirms he has been held in incommunicado detention by Chinese authorities in the Zhengzhou No. 3 Detention Center in Henan Province since October of last year.

Chinese authorities must release Dong Guangping immediately and unconditionally and allow him to travel to Canada to be reunited with his family. At this point in time he appears to be held without charge or trial.  There has been no public acknowledgement of his detention by the Chinese government.

Caught in the crossfire: Chinese diaspora bears brunt of Canada-Beijing tensions

Allegations of harassment have been described by rights activists and Canada’s ethnic minorities, and documented by Amnesty International in recent years.

Some have accused Chinese undercover agents or proxies of intimidating Chinese Canadians by vowing retribution against their relatives back home.

“What they do is they use family ties to China or Hong Kong to threaten you,” Cheuk Kwan, co-chair of the Toronto Association for Democracy in China, told AFP recently.

Kwan, clad in a black leather jacket, said this includes “death threats, verbal intimidation, or something as simple as saying: ‘We know where your parents live.’”
