The Toronto Association for Democracy in China (TADC) announced today (Dec 22, 2020) the establishment of the TADC Hong Kong Humanitarian Fund.
多倫多支持中國民運會今天(2020年12月22日)宣佈成立「多倫多香港人道援助基金」，基金宗旨在於為受迫害而逃離香港的人士提供人道援助。
TADC has published briefing notes concerning the dire situation in Hong Kong. We ask you to send an email message to local MP with the document attached. In the email, write your own words to urge your MP to speak up in the House of Commons for Canada and vote for immediate actions addressing the crisis in Hong Kong the same way as other countries like US, UK and EU have done.

六四31 年，不單是紀念，而是一種堅持、更是再一次的奮戰。
這是一塲從未完結的民主運動。1989的北京，沒有因坦克推進天安門就戛然而止。2019年的香港，縱然鎮壓已伸向彌敦道，但鐵蹄只會碾壓出更堅韌的抗争。
Under the blue sunny sky, 100 people attended the unveiling ceremony of Liu Xiaobo Empty Chair Memorial. The memorial is located outside the Ottawa headquarter of Amnesty International Canada. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony were Alex Neve, Secretary General of Amnesty International Canada, Richard Stursberg, Chair of PEN Canada and Winnie Ng, Chair of Toronto Association of Democracy in China. These three organizations announced the project to erect the memorial in May 2018 and made it a reality on August 13, 2019.
大約有100人在晴朗的藍天下出席劉曉波空座椅紀念碑揭幕禮，紀念碑位於加拿大國際特赦渥太華總部前園。加拿大國際特赦組織秘書長Alex Neve、加拿大筆會會長Richard Stursberg和多倫多支持中國民運會會長吳溫温在揭幕禮上表示，這三個組織於2018年5月宣布建立紀念碑，於今天8月13日成為現實。

Dear Prime Minister:
On behalf of Toronto Association for Democracy in China, we write to raise our deep concerns about the massive human rights abuse in Xinjiang (East Turkistan), China.
We are heartened when Canada became the first state to acknowledge China’s use of ‘re-education’ camps to hold hundreds of thousands of Uyghurs. However, we are deeply disappointed that our government has not taken concrete actions to stand up for the Uyghurs in Xinjiang, and to protect Uyghur Canadians from the harassment in Canada by the Chinese government. Dear Minister Freeland,
I write to you on behalf of the members of the Canadian Coalition on Human Rights in China listed below with an urgent request. As you know, China’s human rights record will be in the global spotlight tomorrow when the country is examined under the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic review process for the first time since 2013. As always, there are many pressing human rights concerns that merit attention as states present their questions and recommendations for reform to China. We have welcomed the opportunity to engage with your officials, as part of our annual consultation meeting and through written submissions, as to issues we hope Canada will highlight. (more…)
