Free Wang BingZhang 釋放王炳章

12月30日是中國海外民主運動發起人王炳章博士77歲生日。自2002年起至今，他被中共非法關押了整整22年。

王炳章於 1979 年到加拿大麥吉爾大學 McGill University 醫學院攻讀博士學位。1982 年獲醫學博士，為中共建國後第一位獲得醫學博士學位的人。王炳章同年棄醫從政，創辦第一份海外民運刊物《中國之春》，1983 年創建海外第一個民運組織「中國民主團結聯盟」，1989年參與創建「中國自由民主黨」。2002 年 6 月，王炳章被中共特工人員從越南綁架回中國。半年以後未經公開審訊，被判無期徒刑。

為抗議中共的非法行為，由《中國人權》執行主席周鋒鎖先生發起的【營救王炳章】小組，聯同王炳章全體家屬及多個海外民運團體，將於12月28日在全球各地發起抗議行動，聲討中共的惡行，要求中共立即釋放王炳章，加拿大、美國、澳洲、紐西蘭、日本、泰國、歐洲等都有聲援活動，請大家留意你居住地的行動，於當日出席支持。

多倫多本地活動於12月28日星期六中午12時在多倫多市政府彌敦菲臘廣埸舉行，由以下組織共同合辦：

• 《民主中國陣線》

December 30, 2024 is Dr. BingZhang Wang’s 77th birthday. Wang, a Chinese human rights activist and the founder of Chinese pro-democracy movements aboard, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2002. He has since been locked up in Chinese prison for the past 22 years.

In 1979, Dr. Wang Bing Zhang went to Canada to undertake graduate studies at McGill University in coronary-arterial research. Shortly after completing his PhD program in 1982, he renounced his career in medicine to dedicate his life to pro-democracy Chinese activism. He then moved to New York where he founded China Spring magazine and co-founded several of the first overseas Chinese democratic parties. Dr. Wang Bingzhang spent the next 20 years of his life organizing and promoting pro-democracy activities in North America and around the world. In June 2002, Wang was kidnapped from Vietnam and forced into China by boat. Six months later, he was tried in secret and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Committee to Rescue Wang Bingzhang, convened by Mr. FengSuo Zhou, the president of Humanitarian China, together with Wang’s family members, calls upon pro-democracy organizations around the globe to stage local protests on December 28 to condemn the Chinese Communist Party and to demand the immediate release of Wang. There are events in Canada, US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Thailand, Europe, etc. Please locate the event at where you live and participate to show your support.

The event in Toronto, Canada will be held at 12pm on Saturday December 28, 2024 at Nathan Phillips Square. It is jointly organized by
