Chow Hang-tung and Lee Cheuk-yan have been locked up in jail for more than 1000 days awaiting for the trial on charges of “inciting subversion of state power” under the draconian National Security Law in Hong Kong, for their roles in Hong Kong Alliance which has organized annual candlelight vigil in the past 30 years since 1990 to commemorate victims of the 1989 Tiananmen Crackdown. Such charges are blatant political persecution. As their trial is scheduled to begin on November 3, let’s come together and ask for international diplomatic pressure on the Hong Kong government to drop all charges and unconditional release Chow Hang-tung and Lee Cheuk-yan.
A joint statement signed by 92 organizations and individuals was already sent to G7 governments and EU/EEA member states on Oct 28, 2025.

鄒幸彤與李卓人因參與《香港支聯會》而被控港區國安法的「煽動顛覆國家政權」罪，已在獄中被羈押超過一千天等侯審訊。支聯會自1990年起，在過去30年每年舉辦六四燭光晚會，悼念1989年天安門鎮壓的死難者，此等指控是赤裸裸的政治迫害。這場審訊於11月3日展開之時，讓大家團結一致，共同呼籲各國向香港政府施加外交壓力，要求撤銷對鄒幸彤與李卓人的所有控罪，並立即無條件釋放。
一封由92個團體及個人簽署的聯合聲明亦已於2025年10月28日寄發給七國政府及歐盟和歐洲經濟區成員國。
