“Jimmy Lai in Chains” Documentary Screening and letter Writing 「鐵鏈中的黎智英」紀錄片放映會及寫信行動

Recently, Jimmy Lai was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Grew up in Hong Kong, the director Mark Tarrant, who is an Australian human rights lawyer, has consistently responded to Lai’s imprisonment through art and film. This documentary centers on the neon art installation “Jimmy Lai in Chains”, documenting its public display in Sydney, Australia, and using the work to highlight human rights and the rule of law in Hong Kong under the National Security Law.

Community sharing of the documentary is being held in different cities around the world. Screening in Toronto will be on Sunday March 15 at Fairview Library. Jimmy’s daughter Claire Lai and director Mark Tarrant will join online after screening for a Q&A session.

日前黎智英被判刑廿年。於香港成長 的導演 Mark Tarrant 是一位澳洲人權律師 ，他一直以藝術與影像回應黎智英被囚處境。本片以霓虹藝術裝置「鐵鏈中的黎智英」為主軸，記錄該作品於澳洲悉尼公開展出的過程，透過作品關注香港在《國安法》下的人權與法治狀況。

社區分享放映會於全球各地陸續舉行，多倫多放映會定於3月15曰星期日在 Fairview 圖書館舉行，會後黎智英女兒黎采及導演 Mark Tarrant 透過視像與大家親述感受。
